About

Biography
Po-Yu “Tony” Hsueh is a Taiwanese composer and music producer based in Los Angeles, CA. Growing up in Taiwan, he discovered his passion for video games, animations, and films as a child. He has been exposed to a variety of visual media music, including both eastern and western music, since early childhood. Notable composers that have influenced Tony include Joe Hisaishi, Thomas Newman, Bill Brown, and John Powell. He has traveled to 18 countries around the world, which has inspired him by allowing him to experience new cultures and art. These experiences helped him shape his wide range of sonic perspectives.
In 2013, he came to the U.S to pursue his passion. After graduating from the Music Production program at The Los Angeles Film School, he decided to further his education as a visual media composer at Musicians Institute. In 2022, he graduated from the Master of Screen Scoring program at University of Southern California, one of the finest film scoring programs in the world.
